The story follows Jane Livingston, a determined young woman from New England who answers an advertisement to become a mail-order bride for Franklin Millard, a man she’s never met, in the growing town of Garden City, Kansas. Jane’s journey west is anything but simple. When she arrives in Kansas City, she’s greeted not by Franklin, but by Adam Davies—a rugged, stubborn man sent to escort her the rest of the way. Forced to rely on Adam for safe passage across the wild Kansas plains, Jane soon discovers that the greatest adventures—and the deepest connections—often come from the most unexpected places.
